It was an unplanned ride, we were on our ride to Nandi hills. After meeting and greeting the rider and motovloggers I thought Nandi hills was quite boring, as we have visited many times and now it will be crowded. Then Venkat, his friend and I thought to ride to Dandiganahalli Dam which is close to Chikkaballapura.
After having breakfast at the foothill of Nandi Hills we three planned to leave and rest rode to Nandi Hills.
Dandiganahalli Dam is not too far from Nandi Hills. It is just 45 km. Normally it takes 1hr or 15min more. Roads are good until we reach 5km before the destination. We did not rush to this place, rode calmly. Before getting into destination be careful with the route, it was confusing a lot for us. After seeing the map for several times we could reach the place.
Here is the route map – Bangalore to dandiganahalli dam distance
The place is definitely good and calm. The view is quite decent. One can spend a lot of time here taking fresh air. Yes, we too spent some good time here. There are no much things to see here but definitely, the place will not disappoint you. Just go across the dam and see the different view of the beautiful view. The other side is a small hiss where you can explore a bit. As it was too hot we did not go there. From the hilltop, the water looks good.
We rode the bike on the dam which was a good experience. Little disappointed to see the trashed threw here n there. It is all done by people like us who come from cities to enjoy the place. Even we could spot a few people eating their lunch and throwing the plastic plates there itself. But it was difficult to stop them.
Just visit the place, enjoy the view, relax for some time and leave.
